About the Spine Program

The Spine Program at Sunnybrook provides expert specialized care and treatment for conditions of the back and neck. This includes all spine conditions, disorders and levels involving the:

• Cervical (neck)
• Thoracic (mid-back)
• Lumbar spine (lower back).

Common spinal diagnoses include:

• Spinal stenosis & neurogenic claudication
• Disc herniation & sciatica
• Osteoporosis
• Scoliosis
• Back pain

Urgent spinal conditions are seen through our Emergency and Trauma departments, and are also referred through the Odette Cancer Centre.

Non-urgent cases are referred to our advanced practice physiotherapists for a thorough consultation and assessment.
