Sunnybrook Canadian Simulation Centre

From practicing surgeries to mock disasters, simulation-based training allows health-care professionals to learn and practice how to care safely for patients and effectively respond to critical situations in a controlled, protected learning environment. The purpose is simple: make your mistakes without endangering lives.

The Sunnybrook Canadian Simulation Centre (SCSC) was the first of its kind in Canada when it opened in 1995, and continues to educate over 3,000 people every year. We prepare students, health professionals, researchers, physicians and surgeons for patient care situations that could occur in health-care environments like the emergency and operating rooms, or in the community. Our goal is to improve the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of health-care services within Sunnybrook and beyond our walls.

The SCSC is an accredited program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
