PALS Division
(Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Our 2017 schedule includes several regular weekend provider courses. We can also provide "customized private courses" to include the standards of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the American Heart Association.

The 2015 Guidelines, as set by the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation and the American Heart Association, were implemented in October 2015. 100% of our PALS Faculty has been fully updated to those Guidelines and they are included in all instruction at our courses.

PLEASE NOTE: It is a requirement of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada that all students taking PALS must now have taken a Heart & Stroke Basic Life Support Course (BLS) prior to their PALS Provider Course. The BLS certification must be valid within the past 12 months maximum, otherwise your PALS certification could be put on hold temporarily. For more information, visit the Heart & Stroke website.

Our courses are taught by award-winning instructors with real world experience, who do this for a living. The faculty is composed of physicians, nurses, dentists, paramedics and physician assistants from varying disciplines and who all work in high acuity areas or are professional educators.

Thank you for your interest in Sunnybrook's PALS Program. Courses are held at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (Bayview Campus).
