Looking for volunteers!

Sunnybrook is inventing the future of health care with a focus on trauma, cardiac, stroke, high-risk pregnancy and newborns and cancer.

Sunnybrook Foundation exists to raise the awareness and funds required to ensure that the hospital achieves its mission.  

We are looking for volunteers for the Sunnybrook Foundation to act as ambassadors in the hospital, promoting and selling the various programs of the Foundation to both staff and patients.

The role includes

    ▪    Engaging with people to sell Glitter of Hope Lottery tickets in support of Sunnybrook's
         Odette Cancer Centre
    ▪    Promoting Sunnybrook's fundraising priorities and speak to donation opportunities like our
         monthly donation program, Champions of Care and Gifts of Giving
    ▪    Promoting Sunnybrook's partnership in the Relay for Life

Qualifications

A volunteer should:
    ▪    Be a caring person who is excited about Sunnybrook's mission of inventing the
         future of health care
    ▪    Have excellent customer service skills, be approachable and confident
    ▪    Have attention to detail
    ▪    Have the ability to maintain complete confidentiality and communicate with
         professionalism and discretion

Additional Details

    ▪    This volunteer opportunity is an unpaid position, but the cost of a TTC pass will be covered
    ▪    Flexible hours: a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week for two to three months during
         regular business hours
    ▪    Great for students looking to complete volunteer hours for school
    ▪    There is the opportunity for volunteers in this position to apply for a marketing internship
