Recruitment Assistant - Human Resources - Temporary Full-time (RA072022)

We currently have a Temporary Full-time (until approx. July 2023) opportunity for a Recruitment Assistant in the Human Resources Department at our Bayview Campus.

Hours of Work: Weekdays: Days; 8 hrs; Flexibility required

Summary of Duties:

Reporting to the Director, Scheduling Standards and Workforce Optimization you will manage the full cycle recruitment cycle for your open roles. With a passion for providing an exceptional candidate experience, you will work to develop strong relationships with Hiring Managers and other HR partners. You are proactive, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a HR Assistant, Recruitment you will:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process for your designated portfolio including: creating and posting positions, pre-screening, coordinating candidate assessments, compiling competition files, and conducting reference checks
  • Create offer letters, transfer letters, and support the corporate onboarding process
  • Have good knowledge of various Collective Bargaining Agreements and ensure compliance during the recruitment process
  • Guide and advise Hiring Managers on recruitment process to ensure a consistent approach applied to every requisition
  • Provide administrative support to strategic recruitment initiatives and projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources or other relevant field
  • 2 years’ experience supporting full recruitment cycle required
  • HR designation an asset i.e. CHRP, CHRL
  • Familiarity with employment law and employee/labour relations, collective agreements required
  • HR experience within the healthcare sector an asset
  • Familiarity with the Ontario Employment Standards Act, WSIB, Human Rights Code, Labour Relations Act, Pay Equity Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in changing environments, adjust to fluctuating workload, recognize exceptions and errors
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills (HRIS, Outlook, Microsoft Office, ATS)
