Patient Experience Ambassador - Office of the Patient Experience - Temporary Part-Time (221527)

We currently have a Temporary Part-time (until approx. Sept. 2022; 0.6 FTE) opportunity for a Patient Experience Ambassador in the Office of the Patient Experience at our Bayview Campus.

Hours of Work:

Weekday: Days, 8 hrs; As per schedule

Weekend: Days, 8 hrs; As per schedule

Statutory Holidays Required

Summary of Duties

The Patient Experience Coordinator is responsible for providing the highest level of patient and family focused service to a wide spectrum of patients by timely and effectively communicating key hospital resources, providing assistance and support with navigating Sunnybrook and the health care system, enabling in-patient visitors and virtual visits, conducting patient experience surveys, sharing communication requests with the medical/nursing/allied health teams to complement the efforts of frontline staff and teams.

Qualifications/Skills

  • At least one year of client focused experience in a health care setting is preferred
  • Demonstrated Person Centred Care/Customer Service behavior required
  • Proficiency in Conflict Management and Resolution skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in a dynamic and complex setting
  • Knowledge of software packages such as Word/Windows and patient care system
  • Able to organize work and perform tasks effectively at a fast pace in response to an unpredictable environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with exceptional interpersonal skills
