LHINs approve proposed merger of Sunnybrook & St. John's

On Tuesday, October 25, the Toronto Central and Central Local Health Integration Network Boards of Directors unanimously passed motions permitting the proposed merger of Sunnybrook and St. John's Rehab Hospital to move forward. Teams at both St. John's Rehab and Sunnybrook have been working hard to ensure the process runs smoothly.

The next step in the proposed merger process is to bring a comprehensive presentation to both hospital boards in November. If both boards approve the merger, the merger will be presented to the Minister of Health and Long Term Care for final approval.
