August 24, 2022

Family Navigation Project (FNP) at Sunnybrook is a recipient of the 2022 Paula Goering Collaborative Research and Knowledge Translation Award.

The award news release notes the “bi-annual Paula Goering award is sponsored by University of Toronto’s Department of Psychiatry, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation, and CAMH’s Provincial Systems Support Program.”

It goes on to say, “the awards committee was impressed with the engagement of youth across different roles/levels of project; the opportunities created for youth to learn facilitation skills; commitment to share power across the team; and potential for scaling to other pressing health issues.”

FNP is one of two recipients that tied for this year’s award. FNP provides expert navigation of the mental health and addictions service system for youth ages 13-26 and their families, who are living in the Greater Toronto Area.
