Laparoscopic surgery

Overview

This is a minimally-invasive technique for complex surgical treatments for women with uterine, cervix and ovarian cancers. This procedure uses a laparoscope with a fibre-optic camera to allow the surgical team to view the extent of the cancer, obtain tissue samples for biopsy and where possible, remove the tumour and affected areas.
