When Should I Call My Doctor?

  • If you have a large amount of fluid or bleeding from any incision.
  • If you have swelling, redness, or soreness of any incision.
  • If you have any sudden or severe pain, or vomiting.
  • If you have difficulty or pain while urinating (emptying your bladder).
  • If your temperature is 38°C/100.4° F or higher for 24 hours.


IF, FOR ANY REASON, YOU CANNOT REACH YOUR DOCTOR, GO TO THE LOCAL EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT.

Make a follow up appointment with your doctor. The Surgical Unit Staff look forward to meeting and assisting you during your recovery period.
