Do I Need Medication After the Operation?
- Your doctor may order pain medication to take when you need it.
- Call your doctor if this medication does not take away your pain. Being comfortable promotes healing.
- If prescription pain medication has not been ordered, you may use ibuprofen (Advil®/Motrin®) if you do not have any medical conditions that prevent you from using an anti-inflammatory. Please check with your doctor first.
- Do not drink alcohol while taking pain medication.
