Will I Need Any Medications?

  • Your doctor may order pain medication to take when you need it.  Call your doctor if this does not take away your pain. Being comfortable promotes healing.
  • If prescription pain medication has not been ordered, you may use Ibuprofen (Advil®/Motrin®) if you do not have any medical conditions that prevent you from using an anti-inflammatory.  Please check with your doctor first.
  • Do not drink alcohol while taking pain medication.
