MyChart™ version 2 released

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is pleased to announce that on November 15, 2011, Sunnybrook's MyChart™ was upgraded to MyChart™ version 2.

MyChart™ was launched in 2006 and is a way for patients to set up, manage and access their own personal health record online. MyChart™ clinical health information comes directly from Sunnybrook's electronic patient record system. It can be used by patients to monitor care while traveling, set up family records, manage a family member's health information and care plan, keep care providers up to date, set up emergency information, and access care in the community.

MyChart™ currently has almost 16,000 users and has made a tremendous impact on the lives of Sunnybrook patients, families, friends, and caregivers.

Here's what's new with MyChart's version 2:

  • New features to improve ease of usability
  • Register for MyChart™ online or in person in Sunnybrook's Health Data Resources Department
  • A Health Status Box that contains critical information in case of emergency or for quick glance
  • Access to Sunnybrook clinic's educational materials
  • Enhanced privacy and security processes
  • Available to any health care organization and physician offices who wish to participate
  • New partners include: Baycrest Hospital, Central Community Care Access Centre, and MICs Group of Health Services
  • Family Practice at Sunnybrook Main Campus Location (Lab results are now available within 14 days)
