Nutrition award for critical care team
Sunnybrook's critical care team, led by Polly Dominiq, clinical dietitian of critical care, placed fifth out of 183 intensive care units (ICUs) around the world in Critical Care Nutrition's Best of the Best Award.
This standing was determined by the 2011 International Nutrition Survey, and winners were announced at the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition's Clinical Nutrition Week in Orlando, Florida.
In order to be eligible for the award, sites had to finalize at least 20 patients in their ICU, have a feeding protocol in place in their ICU and be willing to send documentation for data verification.
