Congrats to Drs. Charles, Rezmovitz and Shuman

Dr Jocelyn Charles, Chief, Department of Family & Community Medicine (DFCM) at Sunnybrook has been awarded the University of Toronto’s DFCM Academic Family Physician of the Year Award.

Dr. Jeremy Rezmovitz has won the Louise Nasmith Award from the DFCM. This award is given to a faculty member within his/her first five years of appointment, and provides support for one half-day per week for a year for research and scholarship. Jeremy received this award for his work using iPads for virtual learning regarding procedures.

Dr. Mira Shuman has won a New Teacher Award from the DFCM. These awards are given to new faculty members in recognition of their commitment to education and demonstration of teaching excellence.

The awards were presented at the DFCM Academic Day on April 30th.
