Judith Manson retirement

By Sunnybrook Academic Family Health Team  •  June 22, 2017

It is with both sadness and joy that we announce Judith Manson’s retirement. Many of you will have met Judith, who is the Patient Care Manager for Family Practice and the Executive Director of the Sunnybrook Academic Family Health Team (SAFHT). Judith began her career at Sunnybrook Hospital as a staff nurse with general surgery. During the 1990s she became the Patient Care Manager of the Family Practice Unit, the Manager of the Health Information Centre, and the Manager of the Sunnybrook Diabetes Education Program. When the Family Practice Unit became the Sunnybrook Academic Family Health Team in 2011, Judith was hired as the Executive Director.

Judith has left her mark on Sunnybrook and particularly primary care at Sunnybrook through her natural ability to lead, her strong belief in interdisciplinary teams and her extensive knowledge of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and its surrounding communities. She is an award-winning educator and manager. Judith has always strived for excellence in patient care, commitment to education, and strong support of her teams. Her family here at the SAFHT will miss her very much and we wish her a happy and healthy retirement.

We are pleased to introduce our incoming Executive Director, Tracy Hussey, who will start her position in July. Tracy is a Registered Dietitian with a Masters in Health Science and almost 20 years' experience in healthcare, including 10 years as a manager with the Hamilton Family Health Team. Tracy has experience in clinical operations, leadership, advocacy, education, program development, quality improvement and community integration. We look forward to Tracy joining our team.
