Staff news update
Congratulations to Dr. Jocelyn Charles, who has been named Ontario’s 2019 recipient of the Reg L. Perkin Family Physician of the Year award by the Ontario College of Family Physicians. The award is the OCFP’s highest honour, presented annually to a family doctor who provides exceptional care to patients while significantly contributing to the health and well-being of communities and society. New arrivals:
- Congratulations to SAFHT dietitian Annie Hoang, who, along with her husband and daughter, welcomed a new baby boy to the family on November 5. Everyone is doing well! Karen Fung is covering Annie's position while she is on parental leave. Karen is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator.
- North Team nurse, Mandy Silverman, is also on parental leave and we expect news of a new arrival any day. Jasdeep Singh, is covering Mandy's position while she is on leave. Jasdeep (Jazz) is a Registered Nurse.
We are delighted to welcome Karen and Jazz to the team!
Farewell and best wishes to Mona Hughes, Diabetes Nurse Educator at the Sunnybrook Diabetes Education Program (SUNDEC). We are thrilled that Aafreen Hassan, who has been covering Mona's position while she has been on leave, has agreed to extend her contract.
