Connect with your patients virtually through eVisit Primary Care

April 6, 2020

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, preventing unnecessary visits to doctors’ offices and emergency rooms is a key priority. OTN’s eVisit Primary Care initiative, using the Novari Health tool, can help you provide care in a rapidly evolving environment. Primary care providers can provide virtual care to patients with non-urgent primary care issues or COVID-19 concerns using secure messaging, audio and video.

What are the key features of eVisit Primary Care?

  • Patients and providers can initiate virtual visits
  • Patients can independently self-register for eVisit Primary Care
  • Virtual visits are remunerated (secure messaging, audio and video)
  • The platform allows for the sharing of documents and pictures
  • eVisitPrimary Care encounters are directly sent to EMRs for providers who are HRM enabled

What supports are available for eVisit Primary Care?

UHN Connected Care is the regional delivery partner that has been leading the roll-out of eVisit Primary Care in the Toronto region. To support efforts in our community, we have expanded our capacity to enroll, train and support primary care providers in using the solution through:

  • Individual or group training sessions conducted virtually
  • Ongoing workflow support
  • Quick guides to support you and your patients.
