John McDermott performs a holiday concert for veterans at Sunnybrook
Today, residents of the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre welcomed Canadian tenor John McDermott for a special holiday concert.
In 2010, John launched McDermott House Canada, a charitable foundation dedicated to helping those who have served our country.
McDermott House Canada is currently raising money to update and enhance Sunnybrook's two palliative care units in K-wing. Once finished, the transformed space will offer a warm, home-like environment which will set the standard for premier end-of-life care in Canada.
Sunnybrook would like to share our sincere thanks to John and McDermott House Canada supporters. So far, they have raised over $2.5 million and are moving closer to reaching their fundraising goal of $3.6 million.
