Giving the gift of life

At Sunnybrook, we understand the profound impact organ and tissue donation can have on the lives of those who need it. One organ and tissue donor can save up to 8 lives and enhance as many as 75 more.

We're proud to support new provincial legislation that makes it mandatory for the healthcare team to report every death or imminent death of patients to Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN). TGLN will then get in touch with family regarding the opportunity to donate tissue. This new legislation will come into effect hospital wide by April 2013.
