Equipment
Toshiba Acquilion One 320 CT scanner
The scanner has a 160 mm-wide detector enabling scanning in one rotation for isotropic volumetric imaging.
The brain can be imaged non-helically with a one-volume scan. The entire heart can be captured in one non-helical scan for coronary analysis, or over a single heartbeat to include complete functional diagnosis. Each reconstructed 3-D volume represents exactly the same phase of the cardiac cycle, providing incredible motion- and distortion-free images of the coronary arteries with homogenous contrast enhancement.
A technologist is available on weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to assist with human research studies.
