Focus table presentation and resulting conclusion

This group was all industry members except for one person. This focus group was core technology related as opposed to the other groups which were applications driven. The core technologies represented and of interest to this project:

• telemedecine;
• image processing and analysis;
• image compression and security;
• neural nets;
• internet connectivity; and
• PACS.

From the lack of participation of any researchers at this table and in light of the other presentations we recommend that this focus group be incorporated into the application driven foci and this indeed may mean into all of the foci.
