Dr. Julie Hallet
Hallet is an associate scientist in the Odette Cancer Research Program at SRI. In July 2019, she secured two Project Grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. One, worth $248,625 over two years, will be used to assess the long-term effects of cancer surgery on older adults. Dr. Natalie Coburn, an associate scientist in the Odette Cancer Research Program, is a co-investigator. The other, worth $210,376 over two years, will go toward studying the use of red blood cell transfusions in gastrointestinal cancer surgeries. Coburn and Dr. Jeannie Callum, an associate scientist in Biological Sciences, are co-investigators.
