Perioperative Brain Health Centre

Ms. Zhang is a graduate student supervised by Dr. Stephen Choi at the Sunnybrook Department of Anesthesia, investigating the efficacy of dexmedetomidine in preventing postoperative cognitive dysfunction. She is also working on projects related to reducing the instance of postoperative cognitive dysfunction and delirium. She is pursuing a research master’s degree through the University of Toronto Institute of Medical Science (IMS), after graduating with a honour's bachelor of science in neuroscience from U of T. An aspiring physician, Ms. Zhang strives to improve patient well-being and medical practice through clinical research.
