Research Summary:
Dr. Mihailidis' research is centred on the development and application of intelligent systems in health care. He is working on intelligent home systems to assist older adults with Alzheimer's disease, with a focus on the following projects:
- intelligent prompting and cueing systems for people with Alzheimer's disease
- intelligent emergency response systems to support aging-in-place; and
- anti-collision systems for powered wheelchairs.
