Dr. Strauss is an interventional cardiologist with a specific interest in coronary chronic total occlusions and developing novel cardiac devices and therapies. He is also interested in the commercialization of coronary innovations. Dr. Strauss is a founder of the Medventions Innovation Program at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

  • Epidemiology and pathophysiology of chronic total occlusions
  • Novel approaches to improving angioplasty results in chronic total occlusions
  • Developing an infrastructure for medical innovation through the Medventions program, which includes early stage innovation funding and a collaborative training program for physicians and engineers
