Board Chair

Blake Goldring is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AGF Management Limited. He was named President in 1997, Chief Executive Officer in 2000 and Chairman in 2006. Under his leadership, AGF has grown to be a premier independent investment management company with operations in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia.

Blake Goldring joined the Board of Directors of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in January 2010 and was appointed Vice Chair/Chair Elect in March 2014. On June 15, 2015 Blake was appointed Chair of the Board of Directors. Blake is also the Chair of the Sunnybrook Research Institute Board of Directors and the Sunnybrook Research Academy Board of Directors.

In addition to Sunnybrook, Blake serves on a number of Boards including Smith & Williamson, a U.K.-based wealth management firm founded in 1881, the Canadian Film Centre, The Jeanne Sauvé Foundation and the C.D. Howe Institute and is a member of the Business Council of Canada [formerly the Canadian Council of Chief Executives]. He previously served as Chair of The National Club and Vice Chair on the Toronto Symphony Orchestra Board. He is the Past Vice-Chair and Past Director of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) and is presently a member of IFIC’s Strategic Research Steering Committee.

Blake Goldring is the former Honorary Colonel for the Canadian Army having retired after twelve years’ service and is the Founder and Chair of Canada Company: Many Ways To Serve, a charity which supports the men and women who serve in the Canadian Forces and their families.

Blake holds an Honours BA in Economics from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD in France. He is also a member of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts, a CFA charterholder and a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.
