Board of directors

Tom joined the board of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in 2014 and was appointed board Chair in June 2019. Tom is also Chair of the Sunnybrook Research Institute and the Sunnybrook Research Academy.

Tom is retired from BMO Financial Group where he served in a number of roles including Vice Chair, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer and Head of the Financial Services Corporate and Investment Banking Group in BMO Capital Markets.

Tom was previously Chair of the board of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, was a member of the major individual giving cabinet for the United Way of Greater Toronto and is a director of Telus.

Tom obtained his MBA and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at Western University and is a FCPA, FCA.
