Volunteers

Volunteers are a valued part of the hospital community and act as ambassadors for the hospital.

More than 800 individuals, from students to seniors, provide caring and compassionate service and give their time to help improve the patient experience at Sunnybrook. 

If you would like to make a difference in the lives of our patients, residents and their families, please review the requirements and process for applying to become a volunteer. 

We offer volunteer opportunities across all areas of the hospital, including:

• Veterans Centre - long-term care residence
• Odette Cancer Centre - regional outpatient cancer treatment facility
• Main hospital - inpatient and outpatient areas in acute care
• Holland Orthopaedic & Arthritic Centre - Yonge & Wellesley site 
• St. John's Rehab - inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation care
