Aging Well Series: Mood and Aging
When: Wednesday, November 27, 2024 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Where: Zoom - Online
Did you know that …
- Approximately 10-15% of seniors in Canada experience symptoms of depression
- Around 20-25% of Canadian seniors feel lonely or socially isolated
- Mental health issues are not a normal part of aging. While some seniors may face mental health issues, they are addressed and treated, just like at any other age.
- Seniors who actively engage in social activities, physical exercise, and cognitive stimulation are 20-30% less likely to experience feelings of loneliness, contributing to better overall mood.
