Service commitment
The clinical laboratories of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre are committed to providing excellence in patient care services, translational research and academic programs. This is achieved through an organizational framework of human and operational resources, and quality programs and processes to ensure continuous customer service and satisfaction.
Quality management program
The management team supports all aspects of our quality management program, which is designed to successfully achieve our service commitment goals. Policies, processes and procedures integral to the quality of our services are identified, developed, validated, implemented and reviewed for improvement in accordance with current standards of practice and the requirements of regulatory agencies. Competent, well-trained staff and informed users of our services are the key to our success. To achieve this we are committed to orientation and training programs for staff, students, residents and other health care professionals interacting with our services.
Licensing and accreditation
All clinical laboratories participate in internal and external assessment processes to ensure testing services meet the requirements of it’s customers, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Laboratory Licensing Branch, and accrediting regulatory agencies such as IQMH and AABB.
