FAQs

Is it virtual?

Yes, FNP is a completely virtual service. You can contact them via phone or email, and they will get back to you promptly!

What services can I expect to receive from FNP?

You will not receive therapy, or any direct services from FNP. Instead, they provide support in navigating the mental health and addiction system to find treatment that will work best for you. After you reach out to FNP, you will be connected with a navigator who will conduct a needs assessment to get to know you and your mental health and/or addiction goals to provide you with personalized options for treatment.

Can I reach out by myself without my family?

Yes, you can reach out on your own and your interaction can be kept confidential. If you prefer a supportive person (e.g., parent, grandparent, friend, cousin etc.) to reach out on your behalf - that's okay too!

I did some googling myself but because my navigator was connected and had peers who are in the mental health industry, they could provide me more resources in order for me to get the help I need

They were very quick to respond to any emails I had, and they were very quick and reassuring. And so that gave me some hope and peace of mind

Particularly for my mental illness, there aren't as many resources as say for another mental illness. So it was helpful in finding someone who was well connected in the area that could find me the services, and because of their experiences with other patients, knew where to look

What I found helpful was my navigator reaching out from time to time to see how I was doing. So, for example, a week or two weeks go by after my last meeting with my navigator, then they would reach out, see how I’m doing, see if there are any resources that I was also considering looking at or if they could help me with anything
