Confirmed nursing clinical placement at Sunnybrook

All clinical instructors who have a confirmed placement at Sunnybrook will receive an automated email from with log-in instructions to the new registration system.

Clinical instructor registration emails will be generated from the system starting August 19, 2019. Please note: The email will only be generated once the school has entered your name into HSPNet.

If your school has confirmed you will be placed at Sunnybrook and have not received an email please follow the below steps:

1. Check your junk or spam folder for an email from
The email will be sent to the email address you have provided to the school or the email the school has entered into HSPNet.

2. Contact your school placement coordinator
Ask them to ensure your email has been released to Sunnybrook in HSPNet.

If your school does not use HSPnet then ensure your placement coordinator has emailed your school email address to the nursing education coordinator, Tracy Howze-Innes.

If you have been taught at Sunnybrook before you will be exempt from the online modules and orientation. Please send an email to that you are returning and your registration record can be updated with the exemption.


NEW: It is a mandatory requirement that clinical instructors:

  1. A site visit take place prior to your first day if this is first time on assigned unit.

  2. For clinical instructors teaching at St. John’s Rehab for the first time, Liz Williamson will offer a site orientation on the following days:

    January 2 from 0900-1100 hours in S2 Sunroom
    January 6 from 0900-1100 hours in S2 Sunroom
    January 13 from 0900-1100 hours in S2 Sunroom

    Please note that this orientation is only for Clinical Instructors (do not bring your students).
    Your students will be attending their orientation at the Bayview campus.
