Director, Odette Cancer Research Program

Dr. Eileen Rakovitch is the Director of the Odette Cancer Research Program, the Medical Director of the Louise Temerty Breast Cancer Centre and the L.C. Campbell Chair in Breast Cancer Research. She leads Sunnybrook’s breast cancer program and spearheads the Odette Cancer Research Program.

Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Amandeep Taggar is a Radiation Oncologist and Affiliate Scientist in the Odette Cancer Program. He specializes in treating patients with gynecologic and gastrointestinal malignancies and his practice involves MRI guided radiotherapy and brachytherapy/interstitial brachytherapy.

Radiation Therapist and Project Manager, Cancer Ablation Therapy Program

Mikki Campbell is a Radiation Therapist, Researcher and Project Manager of the Cancer Ablation Therapy Program at Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre. Her clinical research focuses on the evaluation of high precision stereotactic radiation (SRS/SBRT) to brain and spine tumours and the integration of MRI in radiation therapy.

Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Sten Myrehaug is a Radiation Oncologist and clinician-investigator in the Odette Cancer Program. He specializes in the research and treatment of central nervous system, gastrointestinal and neuroendocrine cancers.

Psychiatrist-in-Chief,
Hurvitz Brain Sciences Program

Dr. Ari Zaretsky is Psychiatrist-in-Chief, Hurvitz Brain Sciences Program, and the Vice-President of Education at Sunnybrook. He provides medical leadership for Sunnybrook’s mental health and education programs, and has won numerous awards for teaching excellence, advocacy and mentorship.

Head, Women’s Mood and Anxiety Clinic:
Reproductive Transitions

Dr. Sophie Grigoriadis is the Head of the Women’s Mood and Anxiety Clinic: Reproductive Transitions and a Scientist in the Hurvitz Brain Sciences Program. She is an internationally recognized specialist in mood and anxiety disorders in women across the reproductive life stages.

Head, Neuropsychopharmacology Research

Dr. Krista Lanctôt is the Head of Neuropsychopharmacology Research, the Co-Director of Research in Psychiatry, and a Senior Scientist in the Hurvitz Brain Sciences Program. Her research focuses on studying the underlying neurobiology of psychiatric symptoms associated with dementia and other geriatric conditions, using novel pharmacological agents, biomarkers, drug challenges and neuroimaging to further understand these symptoms and target treatments.

Psychiatrist

Dr. Mark Sinyor is a Psychiatrist and Associate Scientist in the Hurvitz Brain Sciences Program. He is an expert in suicide prevention and founder of the Program of Research and Education to Stop Suicide (PROGRESS) at Sunnybrook. A major focus of his work is promoting mental health literacy and resilience for youth.
