Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
Definition
A condition in women characterized by irregular or no menstrual periods, acne, obesity and excess hair growth. It is a disorder of chronically abnormal ovarian function and hyperandrogenism or abnormally elevated androgen levels.
