Parkinson's disease

Definition

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a complex, chronic and progressive movement disorder. It is linked to decreased dopamine production in the brain. Dopamine is a chemical that coordinates movement.

Symptoms of PD include, tremor, rigidity, slow movement and other disabling symptoms. PD is neurodegenerative disease. Each patient’s symptoms and progression with the disease is unique.
