The MVP Study: MRI vs. PSA Prostate Cancer Screening Trial

November 16, 2016

  • Are you a male between 50 and 75 years old with no previous prostate biopsy?
  • Do you wish to be evaluated for the risk of prostate cancer?

If yes, you may be eligible to participate in a study to determine whether MRI imaging can improve the accuracy of prostate diagnosis.

As a part of our research, we will obtain a randomized MRI or PSA blood test to evaluate your risk of having prostate cancer. This will take place at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre at a scheduled visit. You will undergo an evaluation. If your results are abnormal, you may be required to have prostate biopsy. Participants will be followed for three years.

Participants will be compensated for their parking during their onsite visits.
