Treatment Planning, Analysis & Evaluation Facility
This facility consists of two independent but conceptually linked labs: an advanced image-processing lab and the biomarker imaging research lab. Within these labs, research teams are developing and validating new imaging methods to detect and diagnose disease, to guide the delivery of therapies and to assess the effectiveness of those therapies.
It also supports the development of image registration and analysis techniques that will allow scientists to fuse anatomic and functional information from new imaging systems with biological “truth” data from surgically removed tissue as presented in large-area 3-D pathology datasets, enabling powerful insight into the nature of disease.
