This page provides information only about the Cadence software used in our institute.

Remember: Cadence is the name of a company. Students do not "learn Cadence", they learn about Cadence products.

Cadence tools in our research

Cadence software is being used in many research projects including the following:

  • design and testing of electronic circuits;
  • drawing circuit diagrams;
  • PCB layout of electronic circuits; and
  • creating and using existing library electronic components.

We are using Cadence software for the development of low noise analogue/digital circuits used for the control and readout of specialized CCDs developed for digital mammographic prototypes.

The Cadence software is used in the schematic entry design phase and for the layout and routing of the printed circuit boards.

The software is also used for circuit and layout performance using pspice and the other advanced capabilities of the Cadence package.
