Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre adopted a smoke-free policy this week that prohibits smoking on all hospital grounds. In support of a healthier environment and in collaboration with Ontario law, all Sunnybrook property has been declared smoke-free. | PDF file

Wednesday, March 28, 2007 Global Medic and Sunnybrook donate 200 hospital beds

Global Medic, the operational arm of the David McAntony Gibson Foundation, a registered Canadian charity that runs capacity building programs in post conflict nations and provides disaster relief services to large scale catastrophes around the world is donating 200 hospital beds to hospitals in developing countries. Global Medic is staffed by professional rescuers (paramedics, police officers, firefighters) who volunteer their time to man a Rescue Unit, Water Purification Unit, and Emergency Medical Unit. | PDF file
