National Nursing Week 2008

May 10, 2008

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is proud of its more than 2,300 nurses and wishes to thank them for being there when it matters most.

Sunnybrook nurses are leaders in teaching the next generation of nursing and healthcare professionals, and ensuring the future of nursing through programs such as the new Nursing Graduate Guarantee Initiative.

Our nurses are actively involved in developing and implementing best practices in their care of patients, support of families, pain management, falls prevention, intravenous and central line care, wound care, critical care monitoring, infection prevention and control, in addition to many other areas.

Sunnybrook nurses provide specialized care for patients and families in their time of greatest need: from premature newborns to trauma and critical care, musculoskeletal, oncology, psychiatry, dementia, cardiac and stroke patients, to the elderly war veteran living at Sunnybrook. Join us in celebrating National Nursing Week 2008
