Unique Education Centre Dedicated to Nurses for Nursing Week

Toronto, ON  – Nurses at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre will have 24 hour access to information and various technology for learning and developing their skills with the opening of a unique education centre donated by Francis and Ruth Redelmeier.

The new centre houses a Nursing Skills Lab, which includes various clinical training equipment, such as pumps and a training mannequin, a Computer Resource Room which will allow for on-line learning and to help nurses to access information any time of day.

Funding to create the Redelmeier Nursing Education Centre has been donated by the Redelmeier family in appreciation of the excellent care they received from nurses at Sunnybrook. The space is dedicated to nursing education and professional development. Mrs. Redelmeier believes that by helping nurses, we help the healthcare system and as a result, Sunnybrook is able to provide the best possible care to its patients.
