Sunnybrook announces new Board Chair

We are pleased to announce the appointment
 of David Agnew as the Hospital's new Chair, Board of Directors.

Mr. Agnew
 has a distinguished career as an executive and senior leader in the public
 service as well as corporate and non-profit sectors. He is currently the
 President of Seneca College, one of the largest colleges in Canada.

During his public service career he served as Secretary to the Cabinet and
 was Principal Secretary to the Premier in the Government of Ontario. He
 was also Deputy Minister of the Public-Private Partnerships Project. Mr. 
Agnew was the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments, heading the 
national financial industry dispute resolution service for consumers and 
small businesses. As Principal at the strategy consulting firm Digital 
4Sight, he led the firm's global research initiative on governing in the
 digital economy.

He was the President and CEO of UNICEF Canada, the first 
head of the organization recruited from outside the international 
development sector. In the co-operative sector, he was Executive Vice-President and 
Corporate Secretary for the Credit Union Central of Ontario.

He serves as a member on numerous boards and committees including the federal 
government's Science, Technology and Innovation Council and the Canadian Ditchley Foundation Advisory Board. He is vice chair of Colleges Ontario and chairs the Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Coordinating Committee. He recently served on the Social and Enterprise Development Innovations (SEDI) Advisory Committee on Financial Literacy and on the United Way of Toronto Campaign Cabinet.
