November 11, 2022

MOLLI, a wire-free and radiation-free technology for localizing lesions for breast surgery, has been named one of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2022. The list recognizes 200 new products and ideas that solve compelling problems in creative ways.

MOLLI, designed and made at Sunnybrook and commercialized by spin-off company MOLLI Surgical, works like a stud finder enabling surgeons to locate lesions more efficiently with improved accuracy.

“We’re proud to see this made-at-Sunnybrook technology continue to grow and receive international attention, says Dr. Andy Smith, President and CEO of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. “Congratulations to the team at MOLLI on this milestone.”
