Staff physicians
Dr. Naheed Jivraj is a Clinical Associate Intensivist and Anesthesiologist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, as well as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Jivraj graduated from King’s College London with Distinction in 2015 before completing residencies in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine (2023) at the University of Toronto. He also completed an MSc in International Health Policy from the London School of Economics and a MSc in Clinical Epidemiology from the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (UofT) under the supervision of Dr. Hannah Wunsch.
Dr. Jivraj has a clinical interest in Cardiovascular Intensive Care and Transesophageal Echocardiography. His research focuses on understanding drivers of international and local variation in critical care service delivery, the cost-effectiveness of critical care interventions, and improving ICU and post-ICU sedation and analgesia practices.
