Family Medicine Obstetrics

Dr. Leah Smith earned both her bachelor of science and degree in medicine at McGill University. After finishing her family medicine residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, she went on to complete a fellowship in low risk obstetrics at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, through the University of Toronto. She continues to be involved in teaching medical trainees at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Smith currently works as a full-time community family physician in both midtown Toronto and North York. She strives to bring high quality, evidence based care to her community practices. Like her family physician colleagues at Sunnybrook, Dr. Smith is passionate about the unique value that family doctors have to offer in their comprehensive and holistic approach to obstetrical care. She tries to lead by example, alongside her patients, by living a balanced and physically active life outside of work.
