Discharge / Going Home

Discharge time from the hospital is 10:00 a.m. A family member or friend should take you home after a hospital stay. Volunteers will be happy to provide a wheelchair escort to your car if needed.

When you leave, please make sure that you have all your belongings, as well as your after care instructions and prescriptions. It is important that you understand about:

  • Your medication, what to eat and drink
  • Returning to normal activities
  • Return appointments

If you are unsure about anything, ask your healthcare provider before you leave.

Valuables in safekeeping can be picked up anytime in the Security Office located in CG03.

Billing / Patient Accounts

Please make sure to visit Patient Accounts in D117 to check the status of your account upon discharge. For more information about charges or billing procedures, call 416.480.4156.
