OR Information Management Services
OR Information Management Services provides process improvement and operational support for the Operating Room and Related Services. Our Department provides ongoing support to the hospital patient repatriation initiative, as well as to urgent and emergent hospital initiatives geared towards achieving Ministry of Health technology compliance.
Previous and ongoing departmental initiatives have resulted in:
- Enhanced patient flow through perioperative areas,
- Increased patient and family engagement in the surgical process,
- Improved staff communication workflows between perioperative areas, and
- Accurate documentation of staff overtime hours.
These initiatives have been achieved by the in-house development and implementation of the following applications:
- COVID-19 assessment centre
- COVID-19 vaccine clinic
- Employee payroll portal
- Lactose administration and inventory tracking (LAIT)
- Minuyo appointment manager
- Patient flow tracking (repatriation)
- TrackOR
- TrackPAC
- Virtual ED
