Changes due to COVID-19

Sunnybrook is taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our patients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. This means changes to our visitor guidelines and screening for symptoms at the door.

Our program offers one of the largest, highly specialized breast cancer care teams in Canada.

Our Louise Temerty Breast Cancer Centre provides patients with expanded facilities for breast care and fosters greater collaboration in the areas of breast imaging, clinical care, and research and clinical trials.

We are active in clinical trials. Patients have access to provincial, national and international clinical trials for: novel drug therapies, combination of treatments, approaches to surgery, radiation therapy, and gene therapy.

How we lead

We are global leaders in surgical techniques including sentinel lymph node biopsy, hormonal therapy and chemotherapy.

Our program leads in breast cancer research and clinical trials. Our treatment philosophy is based on a multidisciplinary team-approach; we focus on supporting our patients to achieve the best quality of life during and following treatment.

We are committed to prevention strategies, early detection and genetic counseling for hereditary cancer risk.
