Depression

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) — also known as depression — is a common and serious medical illness that can negatively affect how a person feels, thinks, and acts.

Depression can cause feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities that were once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person’s ability to function at work and at home. Depression is also treatable. It is important to consult with a physician and healthcare team to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.
